Drug free holistic Anxiety Treatment
Many people suffer the debilitating effects of anxiety. If you're one of these people, just thinking about it may be enough to send you into a cold sweat and set your heart racing. More and more people nowadays are experiencing anxiety problems and anxiety related difficulties such as panic attacks. Whilst the problem may be on the increase, knowing what to do about the effects of ongoing anxiety and panic attacks is more of an issue than ever before.
What is Anxiety?
When we experience a stressful situation or event, part of our body's natural way of coping is to go into a fight or flight stress response, activating our adrenal glands and triggering chemical stress hormones throughout the body so that we are better able to respond to the situation than were we at a normal resting state of alertness.
Experiencing an occasional moment of anxiety is not a problem. It's natural for us from time to time to experience work or home related worries, concerns about financial matters, or the occassional anxious feeling in regard to dealing with a stressful neighbour or relationship. However, when we continue to experience a stress response or feelings of anxiety on an ongoing basis or for no apparent reason, it can begin to intrude on our overall state of wellness and wellbeing and lead to other related health and life problems.
At its most extreme, when anxiety becomes an excessive, irrational dread of everyday situations, it can lead to panic attacks or sudden surges of overwhelmingly fear-based energy that are highly alarming and often terrifying for the person experiencing it. People who experience repeated full-blown panic attacks can become very fearful as it can feel like they are totally out of control of their body. They can then develop additional fears such as a fear of the situations that were initially related to the onset of the first panic attack.
What are the symptoms of anxiety?
| Different people experience anxiety in different ways. For some, their symptoms are mild and tend to remain at a low level of stress or tension. However, for other people anxiety and the symptoms associated with it can be totally debilitating. If you are one of the increasing number of people suffering from anxiety you'll most likely be very familiar with one or several of the following symptoms:
Whilst for many people these anxiety related symptoms seem to be triggered by specific known stressors, for some they can occur for no obvious reason, even during sleep. |

Understanding anxiety triggers.
Feelings of anxiety can be brought on by specific triggers such as worrying about a situation or event, specific fears and phobias, thoughts of being alone or separated, as well as memories of specific events of the past and thoughts of them recurring in the future. However, feelings of anxiety can sometimes happen without warning, even when asleep. As we are sensory beings, our body and brain can often be triggered by sensory inputs, even when we are not consciously aware of them. For example, hearing a certain sound (like a high pitched sound of a baby crying) may trigger an anxiety attack, or smelling a particular scent, tasting a flavour, or seeing a colour, even without you being aware it is happening.Without realizing it, the sensory input from common daily situations may in fact trigger our subconscious into a fight or flight adrenal response. The problem escalates, however, when we start to feel that we can not control our bodies and we get frightened by the rush of energy that occurs - and this can then worsen the feelings of anxiety or panic.
Panic and anxiety problems involve a very physical response that happens within your body. When the problem persists, it is sometimes because the anxiety response has become effectively ‘hard-wired’ into your body’s energy systems, programmed on several of the different levels of the mind and body.
If however, we are able to release the energy out of our system before it starts to feed the anxiety, then it is like opening the release valve on a steam engine – there is no fuel left to drive the panic or anxiety. Regardless of whether we know what triggers the panic attack, it is possible to release the energy out of it, so that it becomes no more than a passing thought without inducing a panic attack.

Many therapies achieve limited success in treating anxiety problems because they work on the level of trying to ease or mask the symptoms. Juliet's approach is different. She works to clear the underlying energetic triggers that cause the anxiety response to occur in the first place. |
