Getting Naked: My brief career as a stripper

Fitness Goals - Juliet Martine Blog

Dear Soul,

Last month I ran a manifestation workshop for 100 people—in my underwear.

Why?

Admittedly the workshop was for a group of women who sell a range of underwear—the Intimo brand to be specific. However, the group of sales women were in the midst of cultural, team and leadership challenges and they were experiencing a unhealthy and destructive competition and division within the teams. So before I ran the workshop I tuned in to ask to be shown how I could best serve the company and its people.

The answer that came was to do the entire workshop in my underwear.

When I put this suggestion to the Manager, I was surprised to hear that no one had ever dared to do such a thing before within the company. But she was thrilled and excited at the idea.

So at the start of the workshop I gave the audience a choice:

OPTION #1 - I could do a 90 minute workshop in which they would learn what manifestation is, how it works, and how they can use the principles to assist them in their every day life, OR

OPTION #2 - I could do a 90 minute workshop in which we would dive deep, get up close and personal, and really look at all the fears and negative self talk and self doubts and limiting beliefs that go on underneath that cause us to hold ourself back in life, and how best to clear them.

Everyone voted for Option #2.

So I immediately stripped off my clothes down to my Intimo underwear and for the next 90 minutes everyone in the room dropped into a space of being totally real, raw, honest, vulnerable, and authentic together as we explored all the things we're holding onto underneath that we don't want anyone else to see.

In my willingness to bare all it gave everyone else permission to do same. To be more real. To be more honest with themselves and each other. And to let go of all the invisible layers that create barriers of fear and separation within and between us.

In my being willing to strip off, it made everyone drop their masks and come together in ways that might never have otherwise happened.

For me it was one of the most fun, liberating workshops I've run. The shift in people's energies in the room was palpable as the women who attended became more aware of the ways in which they'd been holding themselves back and made the decision to let go of all that is false so they could free themselves to move forward.

The lesson for me was to listen to my inner guidance, to be willing to be bold and to not be frightened of taking risks. Lessons I now apply in my daily life. I don't walk down the street in my underwear. But I do now make the choice to be real, to fully accept who I am as I am, and to share my Light in the world without the need to wear masks or worry what other people might think.

The lesson for the organisation and their business was equally significant. It totally shifted and transformed their internal culture in ways they could never have imagined. From that day forth their own sales people were lining up in droves to volunteer to walk the catwalk in their bras and knickers at the company's quarterly lingerie collection launches. Their sales people stopped judging their own bodies and instead embraced their womanly bodies and their curves. And their people became more courageous and bold in what they were willing to try within their business. As a result everyone benefitted, including their customers.

What's does your inner guidance tell you? And are you willing to be bold and act on the guidance you receive, even if it means occasionally taking a risk?

I'd love to hear from you!

With fierce love, radiant joy, heartfelt compassion, infinite curiosity, and unwavering truth,

ree
